Podo Joyo At-a-Glance
Podo Joyo (CV. Podo Joyo Agro Lestari) is more than just a modern retail network and distributor of dry produce—like beans, flour, and grains. It stands as a living testament to Indonesia’s Peranakan culture, embracing every layer of society. Founded on March 26, 1981, by Li Hwe Me (Nyonya Amy) and her husband, who brought decades of trade experience, the store first opened its doors in the heart of Yogyakarta. Fueled by a grand vision and unwavering determination, they have tirelessly served thousands of farmers, artisans, and partners across Java and beyond. In 2021, ownership was passed on to their daughter-in-law, Lisa P. Setiawan, and in January 2024, management joined the ALEEZA Group. Through education and distribution of dry produce, Podo Joyo remains committed to promoting a circular economy, sustainable global food security, and the health and well-being of the broader community.
